<mihi>Googulator, I am pretty sure there were kexec patches for 2.4.26 by Eric Biederman. They had some limitations (32-bit x86 only, no SMP in the kernel that calls kexec), but it is crazy that apparently none of them survived. At least I am not able to find them in wayback machine despite finding several download links that should point to them... :(
<mihi>e.g. https://web.archive.org/web/20051218075018/http://www.xmission.com/~ebiederm/ works but its links don't.
<aggi>mihi, Googulator if you find those patches then please let me know
<mihi>janneke, congrats to new Mes release :)
<mihi>FransFaase: Speaking of Mes, I noticed that you now have multiple stack_c versions for different architectures in MES-Replacement.
<mihi>As they only differ in support for "short" keyword and a lot of string literals for .M1 output, maybe it makes sense to externalize those strings to #defines, or alternatively M1 macros, so that the code could be the same for all architectures (less code to review).
<mihi>Only if that fits your goals, of course :)
<mihi>snuik, later tell FransFaase: In case you missed it: <https://logs.guix.gnu.org/bootstrappable/2026-10-25.log#232121>
<snuik>Okay.
<janneke>snuik: later tell mihi: thanks!
<snuik>Okay.
<janneke>snuik: botsnack
<snuik>:)
