<j12i>Hey, can I use the last fibers release (4 months old) with hoot@main, or should I better use fibers@main? <dthompson>fibers is only used for the development web server. hoot has its own implementation of fibers built-in for wasm targets. <dthompson>j12i: I saw your questions in the log from yesterday. guix is not mandatory for using any of our stuff. it's just the tool we use internally for development. <dthompson>all of our projects tend to have very few dependencies so hopefully it's not too burdensome to use our stuff with any other distro <j12i>But in one of the example readmes it says guix is mandatory. <j12i>The build failure in hoot-ffi-demo I ran into yesterday was complaining about fibers though, so now I'm refreshing my SlackBuild. <j12i>Is that worrysome? I hope this small multiline paste is okay here. <dthompson>can you point me to the readme in question? if it says that then that's something to be corrected as it is not the intent <j12i> GUILEC fibers/nameset.go <j12i>;;; note: source file /usr/bin/guild <j12i>;;; newer than compiled /root/.cache/guile/ccache/3.0-LE-8-4.7/usr/bin/guild.go <j12i>> Building this project requires GNU Guix. <j12i>And guile 3.0.11 is sufficient as well? After installing fibers I'm now running into this building hoot-ffi-demo: `ice-9/boot-9.scm:3384:6: In procedure resolve-interface: no code for module (web socket)`. <j12i>But also still having test failures in hoot. <j12i>I'll take this to the forum. <dthompson>I'll remove that text. it's not necessary, just makes things easier. <j12i>Can you add that dep to hoot-ffi-demo/README.md? <j12i>Particularly given the `make` goes through. <j12i>Okay the failures I'm getting for `make check WASM_HOST=hoot` are: two in test-environments.scm and one in test-modules.scm. Do you think they will go away after I get guile-websockets? <j12i>Ok then I'll send the forum post. But call it quits for today. <dthompson>okay. an issue on codeberg might be better depending on what's going on but either way.
