<dckc>I wonder whether python-minimal would suffice
<dckc>oh. scons is in guix. its graph has only 2 other nodes: python-wheel and python-psutil
<dckc> https://packages.guix.gnu.org/packages/scons/4.4.0/ ... issues... 42 open? picking 1 at random, I don't see scons in it anywhere. search precision seems iffy
<nixfreak>Hello downloaded the scheme primer video and wondering how I can I get the textinfo and put it in emacs like in the video, instead of the html page ?
<dckc>nixfreak, I would expect Ctrl-h I and then a search... hm... I don't see it...
<nixfreak>Yeah its ok , I just grabbed the pdf copy.
<dckc>I don't see texinfo, but I do see .org : https://files.spritely.institute/papers/scheme-primer.org
<nixfreak>yes I saw that too.
<bremner>in principle emacs should be able to export that to info
<nixfreak>I should probably get back to org again, I switched to pure markdown using joplinapp years ago.
<dckc>in the video, it looks like the .org is in emacs
<nixfreak>gotcha , thank you
<dthompson>nixfreak: I double checked https://files.spritely.institute/papers/ and we don't have an info version of the scheme primer
<nixfreak>Nope thats ok , I learn how to load the .org version or just use the pdf version
<dthompson>nixfreak: okay well I'm glad that is working well enough. :)
<dthompson>hard to beat an info manual in emacs, though.
