<dthompson>fyi, spritely is actively working on a migration from gitlab to codeberg. we will be archiving gitlab repos and updating all the links we can find throughout the week.

<jfred>I figured that was in the cards soon given recent events

<dthompson>forgejo's migration tool is pretty great

<dthompson>however it failed to migrate the most important repo: guile-goblins

<dthompson>sooo we're figuring that out

<jfred>I keep going back and forth between codeberg and sourcehut for my personal stuff. Codeberg definitely seems like the move for projects that want contributions though

<dthompson>yeah, sourcehut promotes email-based workflows that we're not into

<dthompson>forgejo is more of the github/gitlab type experience which is a better fit for us

<jfred>I find Codeberg's syntax highlighting harder to read and they don't have a high contrast theme which is partly why I go back and forth heh. Suppose I should give user styles a try again (been a long while)

<jfred>I do like that forgejo's working on federation support too

<dthompson>someone from codeberg helped us migrate goblins

<dthompson>they had to work around some bug and fiddle with the database but it has been transferred

<dthompson>now we're figuring out CI

<dthompson>we're still working on the CI setup but we are officially archiving most of the gitlab repos and adding pointers to codeberg

<dthompson>the goblins repo is now archived on gitlab and all activity should now occur over on codeberg
