<risotto>Hi there! @risottobias@tech.lgbt :)
<cwebber>hi hi!
<risotto>always impressed and confused by your papers :) - working on some distributed wiki / governance / mod projects
<cwebber>:)
<risotto>when do new meetings / updates / things happen? :D
<cwebber>we haven't set up regular community meetings but we know we should
<cwebber>in the meanwhile you can join community.spritely.institute with OCAPN2023
<cwebber>that's the invite code
<risotto>aye aye! wrote an intro and stuff :D
<cwebber>but we're looking at more regular community meetings. all the devs are extremely overwhelmed though and we're very looking forward to https://spritely.institute/jobs/developer-relations.html being filled so we can get more help with that :)
<cwebber>risotto: we expect to have two big announcements out soon though :)
<cwebber>at least
<cwebber>if not three
<risotto>I'm gonna be helpin' with Nivenly as part of their docs team / member advocacy, so that should be fun. I hope you folks fill the position :)
<cwebber>oh nice :D
<Jardie>Good afternoon, just got here from https://octodon.social/@cwebber/111171837783467390
<cwebber>hi Jardie, welcome!
<Jardie>Thanks, cwebber.
<cwebber>we're busy working on some really exciting stuff right now. New Hoot release out soon, a very exciting blogpost, the implementation guide for OCapN, and soon returning to the next Goblins release
<cwebber>the spritely.institute website's been a bit quieter lately but exciting things should be appearing soon :)
<Jardie>OCapN is the object capability thingy?
<cwebber>well, most of the work we do are object capability things, but yes, OCapN is the Object Capability Network :)
<cwebber>it's what Goblins programs (and some other languages!) use to communicate with each other
<Jardie>Sounds interesting, I'm not very familiar with this stuff but just looking from afar with some curiosity.
<cwebber>you're welcome to do so :)
