<travisfw>hello
<cwebber>ho travisfw !
<travisfw>Hi! :)
<travisfw>sooo I have not dug in much. I have read 90% of your recent uber-threads on fedi though
<travisfw>distributed garbage collection is exciting. one thing I am curious about is potential attitudes in this community toward the JVM. often it seems that any reference to it kills conversations. but that is where most of my expertice is. I am not married to it, which is a large part of why I like Kotlin: the KMP (kotlin multiplatform) aspect. But I am only knowledgeable enough about KMP to know how to refactor Kotlin/JVM code to be
<travisfw>multiplatform-capable.
<cwebber>jvm is fine!
<cwebber>the JVM is actually pretty key to some of OCapN's history
<travisfw>great :) I'm good there
<cwebber>in that the E programming language was built on the JVM
<cwebber>and that's where CapTP (one of the OCapN layers) comes from
<cwebber>travisfw: https://github.com/ocapn/ocapn/blob/main/implementation-guide/Implementation%20Guide.md
<cwebber>you may wish to start there
<travisfw>ACTION digs in
<travisfw>ACTION also must multi-task
<cwebber>welcome back tsyesika!
<tsyesika>thanks!
