<azert>Until recently surf was the best browser available for Hurd/X11 https://surf.suckless.org
<azert>did it stop working?
<azert>gnucode: thank you for the link https://hurd.ion.nu/hurd/translator/tmpfs/discussion.html
<azert>I asked ChatGPT to make test cases out of the very long and mostly obsolete discussion
<azert>it came out with the following
<azert> https://paste.debian.net/hidden/251a1cb6
<azert> https://paste.debian.net/hidden/6481225c
<azert> https://paste.debian.net/hidden/c68178f8
<azert>I’m not going to run them as root without checking what they do :p
<jab>morning friends!
<jab>sneek: later tell azert, I did not realize that surf was an optional web browser that one can "apt install surf". Another valid reason, in my opinion, of why we should have a wiki page, probably on the debian wiki of what web browsers work on the Hurd.
<sneek>Okay.
<jab>sneek: later tell azert also I've never thought about using chatGPT to generate a tests for the Hurd. hmmm.
<sneek>Will do.
<azert>hi
<sneek>Welcome back azert, you have 2 messages!

<azert>surf is basically the only web browser on the Hurd compatible with web2.0
<azert>I think ChatGPT did a good job. I wonder to what extent one may ask it to read different wiki pages to identify known bugs and build test cases. I guess it’s doable with simple prompts
<azert>it’s sad that I know people that do this for a living and now they are going to be charged with 10x more work just because their manager will assume they’ll use ChatGPT
