<janneke>the latest image has: ii librump0 0~20250111-7
<janneke>would using debian/0_20250111-6 be good enough; i don't see a ~7?
<janneke>ACTION has booted hurd/amd64 on an x220!
<janneke>but the debian version only, guix doesn't grok /dev/wd0
<janneke>hmm, it could also be the acpi.static; i'm not using that in guix because...it never worked...hmm
<janneke>...and debian is carrying patches for acpica too, oh my
<azeem>15:56 < azeem> icu matches for *86-pc-gnu in its configure.ac, is that actually hit on 32bit Hurd?
<azeem>wouldn't *-gnu macht kfreebsd-gnu as well, or does that have a different suffix?
<azeem>match*
<azeem>hrm yeah, looks like
<janneke>hmm, libacpi is not acpica
<sam_>yeah, afaik there's no actual upstream for it beyond that debian repo
<sam_>it contains code i think from intel's acipca but that acpica is not in a usable state either
<sam_>at least that's what i concluded the other month when packaging it
<janneke>according to https://packages.debian.org/search?keywords=libacpica&searchon=all&suite=all&section=all, "libacpica" does not exist
<janneke>yet, there is https://salsa.debian.org/hurd-team/libacpica/
<nexussfan>An old Hurd web page ;) https://web.cecs.pdx.edu/~trent/gnu/hurd/
<gnu_srs>nexussfan: mach/x86_64/ioccom.h: That file is no longer distributed by gnumach-dev, sorry.
<janneke>yay, the 64-bit guix/hurd boots on a thinkpad x220!
<user_oreloznog>\o/
<paculino>Can you still control the thinklight?
<janneke>no idea, haven't checked
<janneke>i do know that i don't have networking yet
<janneke>but hey, it boots
<sam_>nice!
<janneke>=> https://codeberg.org/guix/guix/pulls/8478
<Gooberpatrol66>cool!
