<key69105>I'm booting the debian-hurd-amd64-20260314.img on bhyve and it can't complete the "timer calibration..." step.
<key69105>I compiled a new "noopt" dbg kernel and light debugging suggests interrupts are not firing. Does this ring any bell? What could be the reason?
<key69105>Please, let me know what extra info would be helpful...

<sam_>trying to get rumpdisk booting now, it falls over when ext2fs tries to open the device: start ext2fs: pci ext2fs: part:1:device:wd0: Invalid argument
<sam_>any suggestions on debugging that?
<sam_>if nothing i'll try do it once booted (i.e. not as rootfs)
<gnucode>sam_: maybe you can find something helpful on this page: https://hurd.ion.nu/hurd/rump/rumpdisk.html
<gnucode>key69105: I don't see anything obvious, but I'm not much of a developer myself.
<gnucode>nexussfan: what's the Hurd's best web browser again ?
<gnucode>luakit ?
<gnucode>yup.
<gnucode>well, I want to write that luakit works well on the Hurd...when it works, it does work well.
<gnucode>But I'm still having some issues with it.
<gnucode>I can't get it to reliably to start.
<gnucode>reliable start.
<nexussfan>luakit works best on hurd
<nexussfan>surf is much more simpler
<gnucode>I can't get luakit to reliably start. I'm having the same issue with netsurf.
<gnucode>maybe I've got some filesystem corruption somewhere.
<gnucode>*shrugs shoulders*
<sam_>thanks, tried those bits already, will poke a bit more
