<yang3>what is the equivalent of "ps wuxa" in hurd?
<yang3>I only see 3 processes listed, but on poweroff i see that there are more
<azeem>dunno, "ps auxw" shows quite a few
<azeem>maybe the Hurd's ps takes ordering of arguments more seriously than Linux' ps
<PommeGolden>apparently it doesn't use options placed after -w, no mention of this in the man page so it's more likely to be a bug
<yang3>yes, ps auxw shows them all
<yang3>strange, other combination of letters will only list 3 processes
<youpi>note that hurd's ps options are not the same as procps's ps
<youpi>so it's not the same meanings
<yang3>ok
<yang3>"poweroff" doesn't power off the laptop, it halts it, but doesn't power it off
<jlas9>yang3: For Hurd, the right command is poweroff-hurd.
<youpi>no, in principle poweroff will work, unless some process is stuck
<youpi>but acpi being what it is, the acpi translator might manage to halt various hardware
<yang3>same thing happens with "poweroff-hurd" the last message is "hwsleep-0079 entering sleep state S5"
<yang3>it still has a visible screen
<yang3>Has anyone tried Hurd in combinations with libreboot "BIOS"?
