<origami>good morning!!
<jab>:)
<hwpplayer1>Any news that I can learn about hurd development ?
<hwpplayer1>I know e-mail lists
<hwpplayer1>Something special that I can learn I mean
<hwpplayer1>I'll be back late
<hwpplayer1>later
<jab>hmmm, I can't seem to clone the savannah web pages repo
<jab>hwpplayer1: you can take a look at man git send-email or "git send email .io" do a goole search for that...
<jab>you can always help me with the hurd wiki
<jab>fatal: the remote end hung up unexpectedly
<jab>anybody have a copy of the hurd web repo that I can clone locally ?
<jab>now it's cloning...slowing...
<jab>hey all, I finally got this working
<jab> https://hurdos.com/wiki/
<jab>Now we have an up to date wiki
<jlas9>Hello. These days i'm browsing the web with Luakit (when i am on Debian GNU/Hurd). I'd like to know more alternatives, so, please, can you tell what graphic web browsers you use-know with the Hurd?. Thanks in advance.
<azert>jlas9: try the “surf” package
<azert>It’s suckless own websurf browser. It is graphical but you will need to learn some keybindings
<azert> https://surf.suckless.org
<jlas9>azert: Very useful recommendation!. i didn't knew it. It's faster than Luakit. Thanks very much.
<azert>also check this complement to surf : https://tools.suckless.org/tabbed/
<azert>Or you can use emacs, that should be able to embed the surf web browser
<azert> https://www.emacswiki.org/emacs/EmacsXembed
<azert>actually, that is not going to work. But emacs can embed WebKit directly https://www.emacswiki.org/emacs/EmacsXWidgets
<p4r4D0xum>fancy! thank you
<nexussfan>for the X kbd driver, what should I put on the `Option "Device"` option?
<yang>The X201 docking station has arrived
<yang>jab: I am about to ask on the local forum if anyone still has old Thinkpads, which one would you suggest that I get?
<yang>I think you mentioned some 64bit ones earlier
<nexussfan>on the hurd.gnu.org, there's a page "GNU System" with a Download link for "Extended GNU distribution" which is a dead link. any archives of this?
<nexussfan>jab: nice updated wiki page, but the search feature still doesn't work sadly
