<damo22>youpi: with blocking reads on bpf, the minimal timeout seems to read only fragments of packets and when it retries it gets another fragment
<damo22>but only on amd64
<damo22>what is a correct polling mechanism?
<youpi>damo22: that'd be a question for bsd people, I don't know what the expected bpf behavior is there
<damo22>youpi: i am trying to understand this code https://github.com/NetBSD/src/blob/trunk/usr.bin/rump_dhcpclient/bpf.c#L158
<damo22>apparently bpf requires you read the entire buffer
<damo22>but the end of the buffer may be in the middle of a packet
<damo22>so i think we have to assume packets like that get resent?
<youpi>damo22: I'd tend to think so, yes
<nexussfan>gnucode: about hurd on a usb, is there even a way to run Live Hurd? because most usb OSes are live
