<allenwrench1>since the hurd kernel is GPLv2+ can it be incorporated into the Linux Kernel?
<Gooberpatrol66>It's GPL3
<Zambyte>GNU Mach (the micro kernel in hurd) seems to be the only piece of the kernel that is GPLv2+, the rest looks like its GPLv2 only
<Zambyte>See the files COPYING (GPLv2) and COPYING3 (GPLv3) in http://git.savannah.gnu.org/cgit/hurd/gnumach.git/tree/, while Hurd and MIG only have COPYING (GPLv2): http://git.savannah.gnu.org/cgit/hurd/hurd.git/tree/ and http://git.savannah.gnu.org/cgit/hurd/mig.git/tree/
<Zambyte>I've only started poking around Hurd recently. If I'm mistaken someone please correct me
<rekado_>Zambyte: what matters are the file headers, not the COPYING files
***rekado_ is now known as rekado
<rekado>Zambyte: what matters are the file headers, not the COPYING files
<Zambyte>rekado: Thanks, I will keep an eye out for that
