<kernaltrap>hi, i have git in my specifications->packages list yet i cannot pull from HTTPS sources. is there something im missing? error: https://paste.gentoo.zip/a8vNzsmz my config.scm: https://paste.gentoo.zip/EnGPVxEj
<kernaltrap>sorry if my message looks odd or anything, first time using ERC in Emacs and its been fighting me, had to set erc-send-whitespace-lines to t in order to send a message.
<lilyp>head-up: I'll be gone without commit access for the weekend
<lilyp>if anything good or bad happens to gnome-team in the meantime, someone else has to take care of it
<csantosb>apteryx: Hey Maxim, there is no duplicate in dca5ad5b140 ? Something similar to vagrantc, right above in etc/teams.scm
<apteryx>I used the same technique as vagrant to dispatch to distinct addresses depending on the team
<apteryx>sneek: later tell lilyp thanks for the heads-up
<sneek>Will do.
<untrusem>hi guix
<master_>Hi untrusem...
<untrusem>hi
<untrusem>why does in cargo-build-system we have to use `#:module` if one uses modify-phases?
<untrusem>ohh we don't import (guix build utils) in rust-apps.scm
<Icy-Thought>can someone help me understand the intentions of this: https://codeberg.org/guix/guix/pulls/11404 is the main idea to replace all that submitted PR with just a propagated input ("wrapper"?) that installs all the tree-sitter grammars?
<Icy-Thought>without duplicates that is
<Icy-Thought>Or did I misunderstand the suggestion
<sham1>Morning Guix!
<cnx>'fternoon!
<cnx>sneek, later ask dariqq: are you interested in courier imap? i'm drafting a package and can ping you for review if you like that
<sneek>Will do.
<cnx>botsnack
<yarl>hi
<cnx>o/
<untrusem>sneek, botsnack
<sneek>:)
<cnx>thanks for feeding sneek!
<untrusem>yep it needs its food too
<daenschi>hi, can i install guix 1.4, and do guix pull and guix system reconfigure /etc/config.scm to upgrade to 1.5? or does that not work that way?
<daenschi>Also, how do i get rid of the onigmura, uv, and typist errors when using guix pull?
<sham1>You can install Guix 1.4 and then update from there, but why not just install Guix 1.5 directly
<daenschi>having issues with building a custom iso.
<sham1>Of course, do note that you can only really update to 1.5 from 1.4, you can't just jump from 1.4 to the latest commit
<cnx>i think 1.4 -> 1.5 -> master worked last time i tried (~3mo ago)
<sham1>Yeah. 1.4 -> master would be frought but going via the 1.5 tag should be fine
<daenschi>Alright thanks!
<untrusem>there is a hotfix for 1.5 installer btw
<untrusem>was*
<yarl>And a to be tested fix : https://codeberg.org/guix/guix/issues/7373#issuecomment-26784998 !
<yarl>Strange. This command was working fine, what's happening :/ ? https://paste.debian.net/hidden/c9722213
<sham1>It's odd that it's trying to reference Skylake, which obvs is an Intel thing
<yarl>And I'm not asking for tuning :s
<yarl>libvorbis and opus have the 'tunable? property, though
<yarl>But I don't know what that is.
<yarl>Ok that just means they are ... tunable...
