<bytesurfer>I wonder why some people choose normal ords as nicks <lechner>Heterochromium: They are in CI, but last time I checked they didn't work well yet. <woodenAllen>I don't know why but mpv shows the english text for each of it's symbols. So play button is literally shown as play_pause. And the subtitles button is showns as subtitiles (when in reality it should be just an icon). <woodenAllen>Also, there's this weird thing happenging with wgetpaste: I use the NOANSI=1 in the wgetpaste config file, but it warns that the app-text/wgetpaste package is missing (when I have already installed it using guix). It tries to look for that specific Gentoo package. <woodenAllen>How do I enable plymouth for Guix? It'd look so cool to have a plymouth boot screen for Guix. <bytesurfer>woodenAllen, if I manage to make it work, I'll ping you since I am on that road too <bytesurfer>Going to package a11x (or whatever the username was, srry) plymouth themes first <bytesurfer>can someone please review and merge my mango PR before a new version drops... lol <bytesurfer>AND WE HIT 1k STARS ON CODEBERG!!! CONGRATULATIONS 🎉 <bytesurfer>another package that is going to contain a gazillion entries.. interesting <efraim>woodenAllen: I packaged wgetpaste. It's literally the gentoo package without any adjustments, including any that gentoo adds <woodenAllen>Does that mean ansifilter comes with it? Or without it? <apteryx>hm, I got '&inferior-protocol-error: #f' on a 'guix deploy' <bytesurfer>alright i give up on making it work... how tf does plymouth work <woodenAllen>You gotta use a shepherd service, as far as I know (which is not very far) <civodul>apteryx: ouch! would suggest that ‘guix repl’ on the other end is sending garbage or closed the connection prematurely <sneek>Welcome back civodul, you have 2 messages! <sneek>civodul, apteryx says: which distribution was it? if you look at the --with-trust-paths flag on our p11-kit package, it tries to accommodate debian, gentoo, fedora and centos currently. It doesn't do /etc/ssl/certs as it seems like it'd be bad to load the same certs from two different places on Guix System. There is a PR to make it easier to let users configure the Guix-provided p11-kit in !10199 if you'd like to take a peek. <apteryx>civodul: retrying "fixed" it, so I guess the connection died or something
