<Heterochromium>Is it safe to back up my home folder and then drop it right on top of $HOME in a new Guix System installation?

<Heterochromium>If I recall correctly, there are some symlinks in the home folder that point to system directories. I'm not sure how those will behave in a new system.

<lechner>That depends how you back it up.

<lechner>The links may not resolve. You may have to run home reconfigure, if you use that.

<Heterochromium>What symlinks does `guix home` make? Maybe it's possible to just ignore those and rebuild them with the home config?

<Heterochromium>I see that `~/.config/guix/current` points to `/var/guix/profiles/...` at least.

<lechner> If you remove current, you'll just use the system guix, but the issue are all the links in your personal profile

<lechner>I am also not sure what happens to old generations
