<lechner>Hi, which home service is suitable to manage init.el from Emacs, please?
<Heterochromium>sham1: `$ qemu-system-x86_64 -m 4096 -smp 4 -enable-kvm -nic user,model=virtio-net-pci -boot menu=on,order=d -drive file=qemu-disk.img -audio driver=pipewire,model=hda,id=SPK` → `qemu-system-x86_64: Failed to connect to PipeWire instance: Host is down`
<junypyr> hi guix! is there a way to declaratively manage vms (like nixos' microvm flake)? the `virtual-build-machine` and `hurd-vm-service-type` seem close, but seem specifically tailored to build tasks and running hurd respectively (and i'm not sure if they'd work for general-purpose vms)
<sturm>Anyone else recently started having errors committing in Emacs Magit when using ben-mode?
<sturm>"*ERROR*: Wrong type argument: stringp, nil"
<ryanprior>junypyr: years ago there was this blog post about using Ganeti to declaratively manage VMs in a cluster: https://guix.gnu.org/en/blog/2020/running-a-ganeti-cluster-on-guix/
<ryanprior>junypyr: I have never used Ganeti myself, don't know if that's been maintained or if there's better options at this time. Just wanted to point that out :)
<lilyp>lechner: home-emacs-service-type is still in review on Codeberg, you can help to address open issues :)
