<blueslate22>Hello, I've been eying guix for a while now, and am trying it out now that I have a laptop with an ethernet port.

<blueslate22>After running guix system reconfigure, it hangs after booting

<blueslate22>I saw someone saying that there's an issue with the plasma splashscreen, but after disabling that it still hangs.

<ruenoak>Hi I've been trying to work around the GDM bug not loading after an upgrade, I run Xfce. I installed xinitrc and xinirc-xsession and crated an xinitrc in my home directory to startxfce4 I boot up and alt f2 to open a new session run startxfce4 it loads the DE fine but I have no keyboard or mouse. the DE doesn't seem to be frozen as I first though. just wondering if I am missing something, or am I going about this the wrong way under Guix?
