<civodul>Hello Guix!
<jxself>Hello back. :)
<civodul>hey jxself
<civodul>jxself: looks like we found a way to fix that --source behavior
<jxself>Yep, good news. :)
<jxself>That was my only concern with Guix itself.
<civodul>yeah, i had not quite realized, because i first look at the recipe
<civodul>and probably because we have few troublesome packages at this point
<jxself>I do have one other question, but it's about the "Complete Distros" part of the FSF's guidelines and how to apply the "if using it requires further work or presupposes installing other software as well" part.
<jxself>I'm not sure if that's supposed to mean that Guix must first be bootable or what? I think I'll ask on the mailing list.
<jxself>Has anyone installed Guix along with one of the currently endorsed distros? I have not.
<Steap>I think this should work pretty well on any distribution.
<Steap>I'm quite sure it'd work well on Trisquel and gNewSense, since they are based on Debian
<civodul>jxself: i think Nikita uses it on Trisquel for instance
<civodul>and on hydra.gnu.org, we use it on top of Trisquel
<civodul>rms asked what's missing for it to stand alone, and suggested that someone just package it along with another free distro
<civodul>sounds like it'd be enough to provide a .deb for Trisquel, or similar
