<zimoun>hi!
<civodul>o/
<zimoun>civodul: do you know this project from Inria https://allgo.inria.fr/ ?
<civodul>zimoun: yup
<civodul>it's a SaaSS platform
<zimoun>civodul, do you know how the containers are built? Using Guix? ;-)
<jeanjack>Hi, some days later for R-related speakings : R package manager is terrible to maintain different versions. If you have to maintain different major versions it can works, but just don't try with different minors
<jeanjack>that's one point that makes me think more and more about start using it :)
<zimoun>jeanjack: “guix time-machine -C channels.scm -- shell -m manifest.scm -- R” works fine to start R-stuff at different versions.
<rekado>zimoun: plain docker: https://allgo.inria.fr/documentation/infrastructure
<rekado>I recently built a manifest to use a different version of Python for a Python environment. It would be easier to do this with R because R is generally not used in the build process of “system libraries”
<jeanjack>s/using it/using guix/
<jeanjack>and something about my lusers is that they love the soft that depends Rcpp (implying fortran and cpp )
