<dstolfa>civodul: yeah, OCI despite its name is not really a standard. unfortunately, not a single OS other than linux bought into OCI so it only really works for linux

<dstolfa>(by OS, i don't mean stuff like docker4mac, docker4windows, etc. that runs a linux VM. i mean supporting other container technologies that aren't based on cgroups)

<civodul>i guess the main point was to support implementations that would compete with Docker

<dstolfa>i think so too, and it makes sense. i just wish it was actually a standard instead of having to have shell scripts for linux, freebsd, illumos/solaris, etc... would be nice if it was all just based on the same thing
