<nalaginrut>before I realized it could be a bug, I have recommended to put lower version before higher version

<mark_weaver>looking at the code, it is clearly intended to loop through the versions

<nalaginrut>checking for guile... /usr/local/bin/guile

<nalaginrut>configure: error: found development files for Guile 2.2, but /usr/local/bin/guile has effective version 2.0

<nalaginrut>well, seems I have to clean 2.2 files

<nalaginrut>but I installed 2.1 with postfix -rtl

<nalaginrut>it could be reproduced when you installed both 2.1 and 2.0

<mark_weaver>nalaginrut: okay, you may need to specifically omit 2.2 from that list on your own system, to work around the fact that you have installed extremely-pre-release version of guile in the normal paths, but please don't recommend that people include that workaround in their published software.

<mark_weaver>please consider the long-term consequences of your recommendations :)
