<LaurentH> https://github.com/udem-dlteam/pnut/blob/main/doc/thesis.pdf
<LaurentH>^ I recently submitted my master's thesis arguing for the use of POSIX shell for reproducible builds and diverse double-compilation
<LaurentH>It also covers the TCC bootstrap process, I figure it may interest a few people here :-)
<civodul>neat!
<civodul>too bad we don’t hear from Stefan and Marc
<civodul>would be nice to work more closely together :-)
<ekaitz>LaurentH: i'll read it closely, thanks for sharing it
<ekaitz>and doing it
<ekaitz>oh! it's pnut!
<matrix_bridge><Andrius Štikonas> Thanks for sharing it
<bauen1>might be worth linking to the thesis on the website somewhere ?
<bauen1>LaurentH: not sure if you'll read this, but just in case, the thesis.pdf file is probably missing some embedded metadata that might be worth adding (e.g. to allow zotero to autofill some information such as university, document type, ...)
<aggi>"diverse double-compilation"?
<janneke>snuik: later tell LaurentH: congrats, kudos, and tanks for sharing!
<snuik>Will do.
<janneke>snuik: botsnack
<snuik>:-)
<aggi>i see, pnut-sh utilizes any posix-interpreter as a stage0 host to compile for as target
<aggi>which is, intersting in a way, but why would anyone do this?
<aggi>*posix-shell interpreter
<aggi>does this work _without_ 'eval' function?
