<fossy>stikonas: I patched around some simpler problems, but there is quite extensive use of newer features in the .y file

<fossy>there are already quite a number of commits where they have "rename X to Y and immediately regenerate bison-gram.y"

<fossy>so obviously those have to be patched out

<fossy>i think at least 3.7 could be removed with some effort, at the cost of (many) more patches on 3.8

<fossy>but it was annoying enough to make this chain, not too keen on doing more on bison for now

<stikonas>e.g. java is now up to 25...

<stikonas>and if you multiply that by number of different arches, etc, it's hard to test everything

<fossy>at least bison, flex, etc should be entirely arch independent
