<stikonas>fossy: regarding https://github.com/fosslinux/live-bootstrap/issues/320, do you think it's worth trying pkgconf?
<stikonas>chances are it would mostly work
<stikonas>or easily patchable...
<fossy>yes, I'm taking a look at pkgconf now...
<fossy>looks like it should be alright, especially given its self-marketing as "pkg-config compatible replacement with no dependencies other than C99"
<fossy>i'm a little confused why there appears to be autotools AND meson stuff in the source tree, but if it works with autotools we should be good
<fossy>pkgconf should be pretty easy to change, which i'll do tomorrow, just for now i will update the pkg config tarball to a http source...
<oriansj>emilytrau: looks like I feel behind on M2libc pull requests
<oriansj>^feel^fell^
<oriansj>so I merged in that patch and the fix from fossy
<stikonas>oriansj: how about unlink?
<stikonas>I think that one is also tested
<stikonas>if I remember correctly, mknod was not tested, but it's not used anywhere either
<stikonas>a bit annoying that it's after stage0-posix release but oh well...
<stikonas>there will always be another
<stikonas>and aarch64 bootstrap is not really done past stage0-posix
<oriansj>and aarch64 may undergo more extreme changes before the next release if we switch to word format
<oriansj>well if I read emilytrau's message correctly, the other patches don't work (or cause some other issue that prevents stage0-posix from working )
<oriansj>but as AArch64 recieves more testing and refinement as it gains MesCC support, I am sure all of those details will be tested and worked out
<artemist>I can't gaurantee any aarch64 timeline, it's kind of on and off because adhd. It will happen when it happens (or not)
<stikonas>well, that's why it's not a problem for those fixes not to be in release
<oriansj>artemist: that is fine, you can do it (or not) as it makes you happy.
