<stikonas>so it looks like a slightly better malloc/free implementation can be added as a number of small incremental changes which is good
<stikonas>1. global struct support for M2-Planet. 2. first-free list implementation (without any free() support working). (this is now done)
<stikonas>then 3. add simple free() implementation (possibly one that does not reduce brk but at least reuses freed space)
<stikonas>and then we can add UEFI AllocatePages backend
<oriansj>stikonas: nice
<Irvise_>May be relevant here: https://www.phoronix.com/news/Google-GloFo-Sponsored-Si
<oriansj>Irvise_: well it is interesting. The transistion from 130nm to 90nm to 180nm seems slightly like a step backwards but I guess it is progress in that more than just SkyWater is a kind of progress.
<Irvise_>I think 180nm is prefered for MEMS, sensors and dirt-cheap production.
<oriansj>well I haven't seen the prices for 180nm yet but I do know it is small enough for us to make Dual-core 64bit processors and 1GB sticks of RAM
<oriansj>or single core processors with 60% of current Processor performance
