<oriansj>unmatched-paren: well Nix certainly invented a good many ideas, they however didn't become 100% reproducible** until June 2021 (**for a limited subset of programs in the ISO_minimal.x86_64-Linux only) <oriansj>There was a great deal of very very heavy lifting required to get programs reproducible <oriansj>and if we wanted to get into the ugly history, technically it was the Gnu Project which started reproducible builds work back in 1990 (even if they didn't call it that) <oriansj>I figure the organization that did the bulk of the heavy lifting which made it generally possible should get the credit.
