<civodul>dmd -0.4 is out!
<youlysses>civodul: \\o/
*youlysses checked his schedule and this weekend he should finally have time to more-or-less finish up his sdl and guile-game packages/expressions.
<civodul>no announcement or anything though
<youlysses>civodul: Do you think we'll be on track to actually have a bootable image by the end of the month, or?
<civodul>i have one right here :-)
<civodul>well, strictly speaking, it's a "bootable image"
<civodul>it just doesn't do anything useful yet
<civodul>it'd be great to have an X server, perhaps with slim
<youlysses>Yeah. Isn't slim deprecated though, for the most-part?
<civodul>dunno
<youlysses>civodul: Oh wow, it doesn't seem that old -- maybe I'm thinking of something else. There latest release as December of last year & it seems all the current depends are already packaged.
<youlysses>I could probably throw together the beginnings of such-a thing, if you wanted to check over it at some-point.
<civodul>youlysses: that'd be greatly appreciated!
<civodul>another thing is fixing the X server tests
<youlysses>civodul: When a archive is being hosted on say sourceforge, should I just link to one of it's specific mirrors, or?
<civodul>youlysses: rather use mirror://sourceforge/...
<civodul>you can grep that for examples
<jxself>Woot - Sounds like good progress. :)
<youlysses>Okay, the two depends I need to package/write expressions for, are libxmu and freeglut. The latter I'm probably just going to write a whole new expression and the former, I'll just keep in slim.scm, but I'll annotate it so whoever is reviewing this, can decide if they want to move it into xorg.scm.
<youlysses>davexunit: o/
<youlysses>Does the standard build systems (cmake in this example) automatically look for linux modules, or do I need to specify pam?
<civodul>youlysses: if it depends on PAM, you need to add linux-pam as an input
<youlysses>civodul: That's what I suspected, okay will-do and then I'll post what I have so-far and just at a glance, could you check if everything looks more-or-less right? :^)
<youlysses>Here's what I have so-far. http://paste.lisp.org/display/139079
<youlysses>Woops, *define-public
<civodul>youlysses: the syntax for the inputs is not good
<civodul>should be `(("libfoo" ,libfoo) ...)
<civodul>other than that it looks good!
<civodul>i'm going to sleep now, but i'm sure Steap or someone else can help you in the meantime ;-)
<civodul>good night/day!
<Steap>Well, I'm also about to go to bed :(
<Steap>The "string-append" is weirdly indented
<Steap>other than that, it looks good :)
<youlysses>Steap: No prob, I'm going to check into it more tomorrow in-general. Right-now, I'm looking into etherpad + pagekite, as a means of communication on who's working on what, during the hackathon. :^)
<Steap>oh
<Steap>could be nice if we have a lot of people, indeed :)
<youlysses> Even if it's just a half-a-dozen or-so contributors, I think such-a thing will be useful to atleast more-or-less map out what we want to get done during said hackathon. :^P
<civodul>hey there!
<Steap>hey
<civodul>any news from <http://www.april.org/celebrer-les-30-ans-de-gnu-le-21-septembre-2013-paris-8>?
