<ecraven>I haven't used it with anything but chez recently, I should really work on it more :-/
<lilyp>speaking of emacs, there is also arei
<lilyp>though the description for it in Guix is rather lacking
<count3rmeasure>hello all, I'm curious if there is anyway we can stir up some kind of meeting around the guile->gdb extension system? I've been working on one for sometime, and there are a number of nagging problems that I can't seem to sus out either from the docs or simply from reading the code, and I've started to see a questions on mastodon from others about the system too. I think there are ways we can improve the docs somewhat and put out some
<count3rmeasure>example so that others can more easily orient themselves
<count3rmeasure>I haven't had much luck on the mailing list with questions and I don't want to start digging through the code for authors for specific commits that deal with code I'm struggling to understand but I don't know of any other way to get some clarity
<count3rmeasure>a perfect example of this is printing to the gdb repl, from within a guile script, which barfs if you try and use some of the examples from the docs
<weary-traveler>anyone with arei experience? i've wondered if it supports info manual lookup of symbols similar to geiser
<weary-traveler>maybe i should bite the bullet and give it a try myself. perhaps when i'm working more with fibres
<apteryx>any committers awake? :-) I have some well-baked patches I'd like to nudge in.
<sneek>apteryx, you have 2 messages!
<sneek>apteryx, old says: not Guile. But I used Inkscape to make my CV. You could do the same with Guile since it can generate XML and Inkscape is basically a GUI for SVG
<sneek>apteryx, old says: one could do a high level concept around that and I call it guile-resume I guess
<apteryx>old: that would be fun
<apteryx>one patch I'd like in is bug#67412 (https://issues.guix.gnu.org/67412)
<apteryx>it enables using R7RS-style import, e.g.: '(import (srfi 1))'
<apteryx>should I use --enable-mini-gmp for Guile 3?
<apteryx>Guix package of it does so, to avoid run time conflicts with GnuTLS, a comment says
<apteryx>ACTION wonders if there's a long term solution to that problem
<apteryx>just rebased bug #66046 (https://issues.guix.gnu.org/66046)
<apteryx>wingo: you may be interested in looking at that one ^, as it fixes an annoying usability issues when working with R7RS libraries, and touches the core.
<cow_2001>apteryx: i'm reading the skribilo manual :|
<apteryx>aty
<apteryx>I meant, good evening, Guilers.
<mwette>Good morning, from California.
<apteryx>Hi! Could a Guile committer take a look at https://issues.guix.gnu.org/67255 ? It's small: 1 file changed, 8 insertions(+), 2 deletions(-)
<apteryx>mwette: o/
<apteryx>ACTION zzzz on the other side of the world
<mwette>sweet dreams
<attila_lendvai>on guix, i'm trying to autoconf shepherd, and i get: configure.ac:52: warning: PKG_PROG_PKG_CONFIG is m4_require'd but not m4_defun'd
<attila_lendvai>aclocal.m4:49: GUILE_PKG is expanded from...
<attila_lendvai>does this ring any bells? i have no idea how guile is involved in this...
